Alfonso John Romero is a famous director, programmer, designer, and developer in the video game industry. He was born on October 28, 1967 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He is a co-founder of Id Software and a designer for more than 100+ games, including Wolfenstein 3D, Doom, Area 51, and Empire of Sin. He is also a co-founder of Romero Games Limited, an Iris Independent video game development studio with his wife Brenda Romero (CEO). He is the world's top game designer and award-winning game designer who won over 100 awards.

Besides his 100+ games, awards, and books, he is also famous and asked for his beautiful, shiny, long hair. In 2002, Romero shaved his hair short and donated it to "Locks of Love." He started his hair on January 11, 2022, to commemorate the 120th anniversary of William Arthur Jones' "Indian haircut order" of 1902. Romero stated in the statement, "I wear my hair long as a proud Yaqui and Cherokee man, and will continue to do so until the day I die."

This July, Romero himself told his whole story in his own words in the form of his autobiography named " DOOM Guy: Life in First Person". His story is truly an inspiration for all, as he was having a very difficult childhood, and after all his life's difficulties, he came out with a great example of a self-made man.
